CAC Announces New Resource in the Fight for Capitalism

The Center for the Advancement of Capitalism has developed a much needed resource in the intellectual fight for capitalism. Recently completing work on a major website overhaul the Center's new website at www.moraldefense.com features articles on the philosophic foundations of capitalism, a capitalism FAQ and an extensive examination of the government antitrust case against Microsoft. The site also features an on-line petition where signers can protest the government assault on Microsoft and a call for the re-examination and repeal of the antitrust laws.

According to CAC Executive Director Nicholas Provenzo, "There is no shortage of organizations and think tanks that attempt to make the practical case for capitalism. However, there are too few that focus on the philosophic facts that make capitalism moral: that people must be productive in order to live and enjoy life, and just as a person has a sacred right to their life, they also have a right the fruits of their productivity, free from the shackles of others."

Says Provenzo, "The goal of the Center is to fill this intellectual void and you can bet we're going to take every advantage of the Internet to do it."

New articles at the site include:

Also featured:

  • The text of economist Richard Salsman's Harvard Antitrust Lecture.
Salsman takes a hard look at the injustice of antitrust laws as reflected in the 'high-tech lynching' of Microsoft.
