Media Advisory: Nike v. Kasky
Alexandria, VA—CAC Chairman Nicholas Provenzo will be available for comment on Wednesday morning to discuss the Supreme Court’s oral arguments in Nike v. Kasky. CAC previously filed two amicus briefs in support of Nike. CAC argued that Nike’s right to free speech was fully protected by the First and Ninth Amendments, and that the California law granting Marc Kasky “private attorney general” standing violated the Constitution’s guarantee of a “republican form of government” to every state.
The Center for the Advancement of Capitalism was founded in 1998 to advance the moral case for reason, individual rights, and capitalism as the foundation of a free society. CAC promotes its goals through extensive advocacy in the courts, administrative agencies, and the academic community.
To speak with Mr. Provenzo about CAC’s briefs or the case generally, please contact him at (703) 625-3296.
